Parkinson Association of Alberta
In May 2018 I began my internship at the Parkinson Association of Alberta. In this role, I was responsible for the media relations, communications and marketing for the annual Hope Conference. This event runs in both Calgary and Edmonton and will host over 300 people. I wrote two news releases that were picked up by both Global and CTV news, and our spokespeople appeared on the Morning News on May 24 and 25.
In June 2018, the Parkinson Association held a book signing event for Tim Hague, Parkinson's advocate, winner of the Amazing Race Canada, and published author.
After the event, I interviewed Tim on his experiences with Parkinson's and writing his first book, Perseverance.
