As the only communications professional at the BCIRPU, I perform a wide variety of communications tasks designed to publicize and promote BCIRPU's research activities, services, and injury prevention efforts at the local, regional, provincial and national level. I lead the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of BCIRPU's public safety communication strategies, including print, tv, radio, and social media. I also advise BCIRPU management and staff on effective communications strategies and initiatives and support them with writing and editing speaking notes, reports, briefing notes, and preparing digital presentations. I also manage and create content for several websites, blogs, and social media accounts.
